② put + モノ + behind
～を忘れる、考えないようにする
そのままだと、モノを後ろに置くですね。
そこからのイメージで考えるとイディオムとして覚えなくても想像がつくと思います♪
本文では
We’ve put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same.
と使われていました。
She put the past behind her.
彼女は過去を捨てた
と言う感じで使えます。
